Aruba

Rouge flowing to salmon pink hues embody the romantic side while complimenting the arid landscape of this Dutch Caribbean island. Marigolds add a dimensional and cheery “pop” to the framing.

Paris- lounge Cognac bar

Lighted pots for plants, “tear-drop” crystals emulate a soft rain that adds a light separation from the rest of the lobby below. The intimate bar is dotted with art deco accents.
A warm and cool option was presented, and interchanged as need.

Thematic:
San Diego
Two towers themed as “Blue Tower” and Gold Tower” with a restaurant that resembles a spaceship docked between them. The structures all existed, but now they are themed for a more theatrical and engaging experience.
The towers would shine at night as they are highly reflective; colors will bounce off each other in compliment with additions of sparkling and cascading  LED “stars” twinkling on the waterside which would also act as a giant reflective surface. Futurism that has warmth was the objective.

TROPICAL: St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
Here is cross between dreamy Caribbean beach gazing below, with a more upbeat nightlife above. A bit of a romanticized Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean flair (as a reference to the island’s 17th-19th-century pirate history, yet alluring) and colonial Danish influence. A mix of slight modernism for a club feel while having toes in the sand, a foot in the past, and old school charm.

Thematic: Orlando
Being Seaworld is across the street, the idea was to have the feeling of being underwater throughout the grand lobby. Mitch Gorshin (owner of expeiology) had the idea of conceptualizing the floors as leagues.
Giant glass "bubbles" seem to float overhead as a filmed animation of the seafloor slowly ripples on the floor. Golden light beams warmly pierce through the columns complimenting the rich cool hues.

Desert Springs EXT back

This shot is from my INVENTIVE classification.
Palm Desert and nearby Palm Springs in Southern California is a desert oasis from the Hollywood’s glory days. Diverse geography and relaxed style are basic draws.
This property has a unique water feature that is both a visual treat, but also a transportation center via small boats from the inside lobby to outside facilities. I wanted the lighting to blend in with the natural desert surroundings using warm oranges while complimenting cerulean blue draws the eye to my proposal of a giant water screen. Images may be projected upon it as well as animations and film.
An illuminated dancing water show would cap off the evening.
